Chagpori Tibetan Medical Institute was founded in 1992 by Ven. Dr. Trogawa Rinpoche in Darjeeling, in commemoration of Chagpori, Tibet.
The three Pillars of Chagpori contain
the Pharmacy, College and Clinics.

College: Chagpori College resumed classes in March after the winter holidays. Under the guidance of Dr. Tenzin Phelgye (Head of Pharmacy Dept.) assisted by Dr. Tamdin Wangchuk and Pema Chodon, the 9th batch of students went to North Sikkim for herbal educational excursion from 26th August to 4th September 2023. The identification of medicinal plants is an important aspect of medical training.
Pharmacy Department
Most of our medicines are produced manually in small quantities and we give the highest priority to the quality of our medicine.

Chagpori Tibetan Medical College is at this moment located at Takdah Cantonment, about twenty-seven kilometres from Darjeeling.

At the moment we have five clinics: one in Darjeeling, one in Kurseong, one near the college site in Takdah, one in Jorethang, and in the old pharmacy in Salugara.
